Cortina Lakes
The formerly freshwater Cortina Lakes, a magnificent wetlands system totally 100's of hectares, now completely salinised by groundwater drains (dug illegally), now paid for and ratified by the Upper South East Program Board, the administrative body in charge of the USE Dryland Salinity and Flood Management Plan.
These images are an example of what we do NOT want to happen to the Kyeema Wetlands and one of the main reasons why there is such a groundswell of opinion against the digging of the Didicoolum Drain Extension.
